The PLACE Invest Tutorial Lab is equipped with over 30 multimedia computers that are Internet-capable. The Invest Lab houses the Invest program, a tutorial software that offers over 600 hours of lessons in math and English. This software includes the Job Skills Education Program (JSEP), an academic basic skills program designed to prepare adults for industry-specific job training in areas such as automotive repair and health services.
The Invest Lab is open to all faculty, staff, and students of Miramar College and is open during the days and times that the PLACe is open. Lab assistants are available to assist you with software and hardware in the lab and can provide lab orientations to first-time users. Tutors are also available to assist you with any academic questions regarding a particular program. For further information contact Diana Fink at 536-7852, or via E-mail: dfink@mail.sdccd.edu.
The PLACe also has a variety of other tutorial software (including multimedia CD-ROMs) in English, math, science, art, music, history, Spanish, and accounting.
