About Us - Mission

We believe that teens' lives are most improved when we focus on their interests, develop their skills, and put them to work in community businesses and organizations.

Mission

The mission of oldepicentre is to prepare teens for the 21st century so they have a better chance to have happy and successful lives. oldepicentre provides business, entrepreneurship, education, community service, performance arts, and social opportunities-run by and for teens. Specific programs include the C.E.O. Program (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities), Critical Hours Program, the Twister Cafe, the Youth to Youth Hotline, and the Music Industry Institute (MI2).

The work of the teen center staff and volunteers is guided by the following principles:
We focus on teens' interests and skills.
We treat each other as equal partners in everything we do.
We constantly improve the quality of our work, products, and services.
We efficiently leverage and maximize resources entrusted to us.

Hours of Operation:
oldepicentre is open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and later than 10:00 p.m. for some scheduled band events, 365 days a year. The Twister Cafe is open for dine in or take-out service from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and later for scheduled events.

oldepicentre will close promptly at 10:00 p.m. Only staff" scheduled to work" or "on the clock" may remain in the building past closing. If a special event is scheduled past 10:00 p.m., all customers and staff must leave promptly at the scheduled closing time. Exceptions may be approved for special projects by either the Director or Assistant Director.

The Teen Center is like a corporation, featuring programs in six different departments.
