PROGRAM DESCRIPTION | The world, our economy and communities are changing. To be successful in the 21st Century teens must develop entrepreneurial skills that they can apply at home, school, community or work. Teens need to know how to take what they have, develop a plan, work hard, and create their own future. Success for many young people will be found not in front of a television, but rather in the power of economic self-sufficiency and in their desire and ability to give back to their communities. |

Founded in 1975, Harmonium, Inc. is an entrepreneurial 501(c)(3) organization that directly serves 30,000 families across San Diego County. The mission of Harmonium is to serve as a catalyst to enable community members to achieve their maximum potential while promoting the well being of people. Harmonium achieves this mission by developing innovative programs that include 9 Klassic Kids Daycare Centers, 58 City-funded “ Six-to-Six” Childcare Programs, Critical Hours program, Youth-to-Youth Hotline, Counseling, Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Programs, and Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS). Supporters The CEO program is supported in part by the San Diego Foundation, the County of San Diego Title V Program, and Union Bank. Curriculum used is based on the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship award winning entrepreneurship training program. |
