Field Trip Experience

SDEF’s Field Trip to its Ecocenter is available to 5th through 7th grade classes. Students will be introduced to various air quality and energy issues via a 20 minute video presentation and then will be split into two groups for a docent lead tour of various interactive exhibits on transportation energy sources, alternative fuel vehicles and societal actions that lead to cleaner environments.
To see details of tours and exhibits, please click on Tour Content.

While Ecocenter is ADA accessible, students requiring wheelchairs will find their participation in two of eight exhibits may be limited to their abilities. NOTE: Wheelchair bound students may experience difficulties in climbing through the A-MAZE or in participating in the ECO-ARCH, where students hold in place blocks to construct the ARCH. Assistants are always welcome.
