3. List at least three causes of air

1) Mobile sources (cars)
2) Stationary sources (factories)
3) Air currents (Santa Ana condition)
4. Name some of the effective mass transit
systems around the world.

5. Why is it so important that we as
Americans reduce our fossil fuels consumption?
1) Americans are 4% of the world's population
and estimates state that Americans consume between 25-65%
of the earth's resources. Americans are the #1 consumers of
fossil fuels and fossil fuels are the #1 cause of air pollution
in the world.

Have students write a one-page report
about their visit to the Ecocenter. Have students include specific
ways that they can improve the air in San Diego and why it is
so important.
Have students agree to share what
they have learned at the Ecocenter with their families at least
one other person.
Have students draw pictures or write
letters about their experience and mail them to the Ecocenter
