Orange Place
Orange Place is housed in the Orange Place Apartments Learning Center in Escondido. This center provides an on-site homework assistance program for resident children and adult education classes. It is fully staffed with a large pool of volunteers from the surrounding community and residents from the Orange Place Cooperative. CASA supplements the educational services of the community center through educational computer mediated activities targeting the 40 or so elementary–school aged children who currently attend the Homework Assistance Program and over 15 adults who attend ESL classes.

Site Activities & Population Served
The site will start with one LCM activity targeting child participants 5-12 years of age and will start planning to initiate programming for the adult component, La Gran Dimensión. Currently, Latinos make up about 90% of the families served with about 75% of them Spanish-only speakers at the Orange Place Apartment Complex.
